 Nara was the ancient capital of Japan in the 8th century. First, you can visit the Todaiji temple, the center of tourism of Nara. This temple is famous for the Great Budda Hall, the world largest wooden building, which houses the Greate Budda, one of Japan’s largest bronze statues. After that, you can stroll through the beautiful Nara Park and meet many deer, which is considered to be the messenger of God. After a break for lunch, you explore the beautiful Kasuga-Taisha shrine, which is the most celebrated shrine in Nara. This shrine is famous for its thousands of lanterns which are donated by worshipers. Hundreds of bronze lanterns are hanging from the building, while many stone lanterns line its approach. Afterwards, you also visit Nara-machi, old Nara town which still retain the atmosphere of the Edo period.
